Kevin Landry Running for Anoka County Commissioner, District 7
To the Editor:
A few weeks ago, I announced that I would be running for the House seat in my district, and there has been a change.
Due to redistricting one of the people I would be running against would be Zack Stephenson, who currently holds the House seat for his district, which is now part of my district.
Zack is a great guy who has a great character, and like me, he truly loves his community and only wants the best for the people within his community and district.
After a couple of meetings with Zack, we decided that instead of working against one another, the best thing to do would be to work with another and serve our community in the best possible way.
I would like to announce that I am running for the Anoka County Commissioner District 7.
Some of the things that I believe truly need to be changed are mental health programs for people within our community and reform within our jail system.
I believe the Anoka county board meetings should always be transparent, and the meetings should always be televised 100% of the time. The people of Anoka County should always be heard and have a way to communicate with the board consistently.
I believe working with people like Zack Stephenson will be extremely beneficial to our community and district.
The local Democratic Party will be voting in April about writing me a letter of support and getting behind me.
I would love the support of everyone as I begin this journey.
